As the state of Maine’s leading provider of foreign language services, RISinterpret has been offering high quality in-person interpreting and written translation services in more than 25 languages since 1997.

The languages include but are not limited to: Acholi, Amharic, Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese, Farsi, French, Haitian Creole, Khmer, Kinyarwandan, Russian, Serbo-Croatian, Somali, Spanish, Swahili, and Vietnamese, and Zande.

Our interpreters, recruited from the community they serve, have received extensive training in appropriate interpreting techniques, ethics and protocol, and will provide useful linguistic and cultural clarification for both the client and the provider.

Each potential interpreter who applies for a position undergoes a complex testing process in order to be qualified.

RISinterpret produces accurate, culturally appropriate written translations in a variety of fields. Our translations favor a concept-oriented, context-driven approach over a word-by-word conversion from one language to another. Translated documents can be notarized or adjusted to your specific needs on demand.

RISinterpret also provides training for services providers on how to work effectively through an interpreter.

Our services are available across the state of Maine.

Services available 24 hrs a day 365 days a year.
