CLINICAL COMMUNITY SUPPORT WORKER- ACT TEAM

Catholic Charities Maine Support & Recovery Services in Portland has a Full-Time opening for a Clinical Community Support Worker Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT). This position is a member of a team of professionals who provide intensive treatment and support to people with severe and persistent mental illness. As a member of the ACT Team, the Clinical Community Support Worker assists with assessment, obtaining services and meeting basic needs, advocacy, counseling, and maintaining records, and must be able to exercise clinical judgment. Responsibilities for the client group include 24 hour, 7 day per week coverage shared with other team members. The work is done primarily in the client’s residences and involves travel and meetings throughout the Greater Portland area. Shall have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field (or equivalent experience and/or training), be certified or eligible for certification as a Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician/Community (MHRT/C), and have a minimum of 2 years of work experience with people with severe and persistent mental illness (at least 1 of which is in a community setting).
