Volunteer

American Friends Program - To the refugee our country is another world. That’s why you can make a world of difference with your friendship. The American Friends program is designed to match caring, English-speaking families or individuals with refugee families to help ease the very difficult transition these refugees experience when they move from their country and culture to ours. Volunteers must participate in 2 trainings per year and commit to a minimum of 6 months at 1-2 hours per week.

ESL Help -Are you a retired teacher looking to utilize your teaching skills to help a refugee learn the English language? Enjoy working as a tutor one on one or with small groups? Work with refugees helping them with their English as a Second Language course work.

Start a Volunteer Drive at your School or Office - Looking for a flexible service project? These opportunities do not involve direct contact with clients but provide major support for people in need. Ideal for groups and those ages 16 years and younger, these projects and drives include activities such as clothing drives, baby-item drives, Christmas giving and more.
