Many of us feel the impact of addiction throughout our lives; through family members, friends, co-workers, schools. Catholic Charities Maine Counseling Services in partnership with Milestone Foundation, Crossroads for Women, Day One and Serenity House is organizing an annual Walk for Recovery in celebration of National Alcohol and Drug Recovery Month to promote awareness of the issues involved with alcohol and drug addiction.

This is a free event with a suggested donation of $10.00 per participant. Free event t-shirts will be given to the first 250 people to register at the event. Free refreshments will be provided along with fun activities for kids of all ages.

Please join the Power of Recovery and walk with us on Saturday, September 11th. The walk begins at Catholic Charities Maine Counseling Services, 250 Anderson Street, Portland. Registration will begin with a blessing by Bishop Malone at 12:30 pm followed by a walk around the Eastern Promenade trail to the Ocean Gateway Terminal (3.2 mile round trip).
