Catholic Charities Awarded Edward H. Daveis Benevolent Fund 2023 Grant to Expand Toddler Care at St. Elizabeth’s Child Development Center

February 16, 2024

Catholic Charities was recently awarded an Edward H. Daveis Benevolent Fund 2023 Grant to Expand Toddler Care at St. Elizabeth’s Child Development Center. The Edward H. Daveis Benevolent Fund grant program supports early childhood and youth engagement programs in Greater Portland. This award recognizes Catholic Charities Maine’s (CCM) St. Elizabeth child development center in Portland as a provider of high-quality early care and education services, including special education, to children aged 18 months to five (5) years. For decades, St. Elizabeth’s has been a key community resource offering an inclusive, diverse learning environment for Portland families and fulfilling a mission to assist vulnerable children by providing programming in a socioeconomically and racially diverse setting. St. Elizabeth’s will use this funding to provide an additional toddler room.
