Catholic Charities provides many services in Aroostook County — from the Food Bank and Farm for ME, to our Independent Support Services program for seniors and Education Services for Blind and Visually Impaired Children — we are committed to bringing help and hope to the people of Aroostook County.

Threads of Hope

Our three Thrift Stores in Aroostook County sell donated furniture, household goods, clothing, books and more to help fund our Food Bank.   

Independent Support Services

Our Independent Support Services provides homemaker services for seniors and individuals with disabilities, including in-home assistance with housekeeping, groceries, meal preparation and laundry.

Education Services for Blind & Visually Impaired Children

Our Education Services for Blind & Visually Impaired Children provides services to children from birth through age 20 with visual impairments statewide. Services may include direct instruction and/or consultation to families and local schools around the implications of vision loss.

Child & Adult Care Food Program

Our Child & Adult Care Food Program offers support, meal reimbursement and education to child care providers on healthy eating and physical activity to ensure children are provided with nutritious meals and snacks while in their care.

Parish Social Ministry

Our Parish Social Ministry program strengthens parish communities by providing social ministry program trainings and resources based on the individual needs of a parish.
