Adult Services

Of Maine’s nearly 1.3 million residents, approximately 51,000 adults live with serious mental illness or mental health conditions (National Alliance on Mental Illness).

At Catholic Charities, we put the focus on living, working in partnership with our clients to help them achieve their goals of managing their diagnosis and becoming an active part of their communities.

We believe that people dealing with mental illness, addictions and behavioral disorders can determine the course of their own lives. Please click on the menu of services to learn more.

Children’s Services

About one in five, or about 15%, of children aged 3 through 17 years suffers from a mental health or learning disability.

At Catholic Charities, we bring help and hope for at-risk children struggling with mental health needs, developmental disabilities, and chronic medical conditions.

With comprehensive and compassionate care, we focus on empowering children and families to achieve their fullest independence and potential. Our experienced staff take time to learn each child’s needs, hopes, and dreams, and are committed to helping them to fully develop their strengths in order to achieve their goals.
