Position description: Are you a local student looking to develop your skills in the Business & Marketing, Arts & Communication or Science & Technology career pathways? We're looking for fresh marketing & merchandising ideas, creative makers to up-cycle and reupholster donated items, helping to develop in-store events and more! Come intern at Threads of Hope, a thrift store with a mission to fund Catholic Charities Maine & the programs that help members of our community.

Key Responsibilities: (specific tasks volunteer will be working on)

Work collaboratively with TOH staff.

Complete assigned marketing, merchandising, event planning and/or artisan tasks.

Help maximize donated items by reupholstering, repairing/building, stripping/painting, etc. them for resale.

Help create content for social media and in-store special events.

Impact of Opportunity:

Your work will help keep items out of landfills. Proceeds fund programs that help your neighbors. Your work will support a local circular economy and provides the community with affordable options.

Honest, trustworthy & dependable.

Able & willing to follow instructions to complete tasks.

Willing to work collaboratively on creative projects.

Willing to bring fresh ideas & apply knowledge from the classroom.

Training Offered: On-the-job

Time Commitment/Schedule: Flexible hours Monday-Friday 9:00AM - 7:00PM
