Once you’ve submitted your application:
The Coordinator of Volunteers and Special Projects will check to see if you are a match with any current openings. If you are, you’ll be contacted to schedule an interview.
If there is no specific match, but you’ve expressed a desire to do a particular service: the Coordinator will send out an email to programs which may have a need. If there is nothing for you at this time, the Coordinator will notify you and keep your information on hand for future openings.
If there is a match: you will interview with program staff and your prospective supervisor and fill out additional paperwork for Human Resources. Please also take some time to review our Agency Volunteer Handbook.
Once your background/reference check is complete: you’ll meet with someone from the program to arrange your orientation to the agency and any training specific to your new role.
And then you can start enjoying all the rewards of knowing your help is giving someone else hope.
